March 2017

I’ve met Dr. Biscoe to take some advice on hidradenitis Suppurativa and talked about the top supplements which she recommended some supplements to somehow recover it.

She said that it’s very bothersome skin condition that causes painful boils and bumps in the armpits or the groin area and a lot of people suffer with that and I‘ve seen it quite a bit in my clinical practice. She said that most of people don’t know exactly about what is HS or what are the ways to get over on it.

Her first Recommendation was:

  • Resveratrol

Resveratrol is an antioxidant that helps hidradenitis Suppurativa by reducing an enzyme called matrix metallopeptidase 2 or MMP2. That enzyme is responsible for breaking down skin tissue and it really plays an essential role in the pathological condition of hidradenitis. So if you can take something to help block that enzyme that is damaging the skin tissue, it can be really helpful. Ginger is another botanical or supplements you can use it as a food even. That block the same enzyme. So, resveratrol and ginger were her first recommendations.

  • Fish Oil

Fish oil should be the part of any basic inflammatory wellness program. Because those essential fats, those Omega 3 fats really helps to shift the immune system out of a pro inflammatory state back into a balanced with less inflammation.

  • Vitamin A

Vitamin A plays a very important role in regulating carotene production in a hair follicle and for hidradenitis Suppurativa that is particularly important because one of problems in that condition is that there is an overgrowth of carotene and so the carotene builds up in the hair follicle and creates that initial reaction in the skin that ultimately leads to those painful boils. So vitamin A is a great choice. However, that not everyone should be the supplementing with vitamin A. if you’re pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you want to work with your health care practitioner, because high doses of vitamin A can actually harm the fetus.

  • Vitamin D3

It serves a couple of purposes for hidradenitis Suppurativa. The first purpose is that it has a very profound in regulating the immune system and whenever you can do that, you are going to reduce inflammation, have a balanced response of the immune system so that things are not going so haywire and there is not all of this dysregulation going on.  The other important role that vitamin D plays the particularly for hidradenitis Suppurativa is that it is very good are restoring insulin sensitivity. If you don’t have insulin sensitivity that means that your insulin resistant and basically that means that your cells are no longer good at using insulin to transport glucose out of your blood stream and get into your cells , where you need that and insulin resistant also plays an essential role in hidradenitis Suppurativa because it has profound effects on inflammation and it also changes the nature of the skin.

I hope you guys find that helpful and reach out any questions, you have on what is HS and causes, and I love to help out you guys.

There are many types of acne out there that you can organize them by, but in this article I’m going to write some basic ones. There mainly three different types of acne.

The first type of acne is:

  • White Heads

The most common form of acne and it’s the most commonly found acne on the face. It looks exactly the way its sounds. It’s white in appearance which keeps the oil and dead skin cells inside from being exposed to the oxygen ad this type of acne there’s no redness and no swelling. It is a form of acne resulting from the accumulation of germs, oil, dust and that’s themselves.

  • Papules

When sebum, bacteria and death skin cells under the skin has cause inflammation so papules will appear as very small bumps on your face so the bumps reveal no visible pores but it will seem as its close, very surrounded by skin inflammation.

  • Pustules

You will notice that type of acne usually when red bumps appear with in the center it’s white and yellowish which like the pus is about to out. They may be really painful when you touch it but don’t touch it and don’t pop it. It surely gets tempting but if you do that it might lead to other break outs or really bad scars.

So now I wrote about the common types of acne and now let’s get in to the treatment. It really important to know the proper way how to treat each type of acne so that you won’t get any future breakouts or scarring.

So I am going to write down about how to get rid of whiteheads.

  • How to Remove Whiteheads

This never goes away naturally so it’s really important that you remove them but if you remove them the wrong way, it can lead and it can develop into pustules. So, you have to do it the proper way.

What you need are, clean hands, Eolswab, Comedone remover and pimple patch.

  1. First Step

Sanitize both ends of the remover using the alcohol swab.

  1. Second Step

Sanitize the area of whiteheads with a clean alcohol swab.

  1. Third Step

Pop the whiteheads using the sharp end of the remover.

  1. Fourth Step

Squeeze out the whitehead using the hoop end of the remover.

  1. Fifth Step

Put a pimple patch on top of the parts you have squeezed.

*this will prevents the parts from infection.

  • How to Remove Papules

It’s really hard to extract papules and if you treat them the wrong way or if you touch them the wrong way it can aggravate the infection so it is very important to treat it properly or you have to wait it reached the point where you can pop a papules. If papules are at the beginning stage, here some tips to avoid them.

All you need is pinky powder and some cotton swabs and the key point is that do not shake the bottle. If you did then wait until the powder sinks.

  1. Step

Open it and put cotton swab in it and get the powder underneath and you’ll see this pink powder and put it on the pimple.

*I suggest that to apply pink powder at the last stage of your skin care at night.

  • How to Remove Pustules

It is the reddish one with the yellow or whitish puss in the right in the middle.  If you treat it in the wrong way then the puss can actually go deeper in to your skin and it can leave a really bad scar.

What you need is, Eolswab, Comedone remover, pimple patch, and Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream.

  1. Step One

Open the Eolswab and sanitize the both ends of the remover using the swab.

  1. Step Two

Pop the pustules using the sharp end of the remover.

  1. Step Third

Squeeze out the pus using the hoop end of the remover.

*first a lot of yellowish pus going to come out and blood will come out too but keep pressing until the after all the blood and after all the pus, you’re going to actually see a very clear water liquid that comes out.

  1. Step Fourth

Sanitize the part using the clean Eolswab gently press down and make sure that it dries.

  1. Step Fifth

Apple the pimple patch to protect the part from infection and leave it foe the 12 hours.

  1. Step Sixth

When the patch swallows in to white, remove the patch.

  1. Step Seventh

Apply the blue cream on to the spot.

*apply as often as possible to reduce the redness and reproduce skin cells.

Acne is a common skin condition that affects everyone from teenagers to adults but it depends on the types of acne appears on face. However it happens to everyone. Even though a lot of people deal with pimples from time to time but many are clueless when it comes to the facts about those pesky little zits and some of those even don’t know that what types of acne they are dealing with.

Here are some 10 things of all types of acne you never knew about.

  1. washing your face won’t help

When you experience any type of acne breakout, it’s normal to want to scrub away the imperfections. But washing your face really won’t help you much. Excessively scrubbing and washing can actually disturb the area and create more zits, irritation, scarring, and inflammation. Instead of scrubbing your skin until it turns red, a little bit of gentle washing twice a day over the problem area is less demanding.

  1. Chocolate and Pizza are not the Culprits

There is the myth that claims sugar, greasy foods, and dairy products are the culprits behind any types of acne breakouts but that’s just simply not the case. There isn’t any real correlation between the food you eat and the pimples on your skin. So stuffing your face with chocolate and greasy pizza won’t cause a zit to form. But, it can worsen a pre-existing acne breakout.

  1. Blame your Clothes

When an acne breakout occurs on a part of the body other than the face like your back, chest, and butt, it can usually be blamed on your clothing. The rubbing of bra straps and wearing tight clothes can cause “Friction Acne.” If you like to lounge around in sweaty gym clothes, just to know that an acne breakout is bound to happen. When sweat gets trapped between your workout clothes and your skin, it can lead to an overgrowth of bacteria which can produce any type’s acne in the worst places.

  1. So many Pimples

You may think that every zit on your body is the same, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, there are six different types if acne in total.

There are 1. Blackheads and 2. Whiteheads that are caused by the buildup of oil, bacteria and dead skin cells.

3. Papules and 4. Pustules which are formed when blocked pores become irritated.

There are also 5. Nodules and 6. Cysts which are very large, painful and pus-filled pimples that should be treated by a dermatologist.

  1. The Only Way to Get a Zit

Forget all the myths out there about the various ways to get a zit because there is only one way that a pimple is formed. When your body’s glands overproduce oil, they combine with your dead skin cells. This creates a plug that blocks the pores and that blocks the pores and their follicles. Bacteria begins to grow in the clogged pores which cause a breakout. This why dermatologist recommends exfoliating the skin with a cleansing brush or natural beads. If you already have oily skin, gently scrubbing away dead skin cells help crack down on acne breakouts.

  1. Acne-Free Population

A group of kitavan islanders in Papua New Guinea have never experienced acne in their entire lives. A doctor traveled the island in 1990 to analyze the health of the islanders. He chose 1200 subjects between the ages of 15 and 25- years- old and was surprised to discover that there weren’t any pimples nor skin disorders in sight. Kitava is now simply known as “Clear Skin Paradise.” It is because there is no pollution and a type of weather that harms their skin from any types of acne and other skin problems.

  1. The Sun is your Friend & Enemy

UV rays can be anti-bacterial, and spending a small amount of time in the sun is said to be beneficial to treating a skin.  However, too much sun exposure can cause more breakouts and increased hyper-pigmentation. Spending more than 20 minutes in the sun can darken your skin pre-existing acne scars. If you’re prone to peeling and burning, the dead skin cells can clog your pores even further, causing more pimples to form.

  1. Blame your Pillow

If you wash your pillow case regularly, go ahead and give yourself a high five. But if you let more than a few days go by without tossing your pillowcase in the wash, it could be the reason for your skin breakouts. Your pillow case is the home to a bunch of dirt, oil, bacteria and dead skin cells. Changing your pillow case regularly will get rid of all the harmful bacteria.

  1. It’s more Damaging than you Think

Of course, all types of acne are painful to deal with, but the effects of the skin disorder run deep. Extreme acne has been directly related to low self-esteem and a decrease in confidence. Adult acne seems to be more psychologically harmful. As people get older, acne causes additional stress because they feel they should have already outgrown the skin condition. In a survey, 50% of participants said they would much rather have wrinkles than to deal with adult acne.

  1. Some people Love Acne

For everyone who hates life as soon as they see a zit pop up on their face, there’s a group of people who actually love pimples. They’re called ACNEPHILIACS, and it’s a fetish community that gets aroused by popping their partner’s zits. I know that’s weird but it’s true.

Which of these facts about acne were you most surprised about, leave a comment down below.

There are a lot of different types of Acne such as:

  • Mechanica Acne

Acne Mechanica is a type of acne or pimples that’s caused by skin friction, heat, pressure on the skin, or when skin isn’t exposed to the air. Sweaty, constantly rubbed skin can quickly break out in a bothersome rash that’s really acne.

  • Fulminant Acne

Acne fulminant is a severe form of the skin disease, acne, which can occur after unsuccessful treatment for another form of acne, acne conglobata. The condition is thought to be an immunologically induced disease in which elevated level of testosterone causes a rise in sebum and population of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria.

  • Pyoderma Faciale Acne

Pyoderma faciale is an unusual skin condition occurring in young adult women. It is also called “rosacea fulminant”. It can resemble severe acne or rosacea.

Unlike acne, pyoderma facial:

  1. Starts abruptly
  2. Rarely persists more than a year or so
  3. Is not associated with oily skin
  • Conglobata acneAcne

Acne conglobata (AC) is an uncommon and unusually severe form of acne characterized by burrowing and interconnecting abscesses and irregular scars (both keloidal and atrophic), often producing pronounced disfigurement. The comedones often occur in a group of 2 or 3, and cysts contain foul-smelling seropurulent material that returns after drainage

  • Acne Rosacea

Rosacea is a skin condition that affects parts of your face. Symptoms can include facial flushing, facial redness, spots, thickening of your skin, and eye problems such as dry eyes and sore eyelids.

But the most common form of an acne that the one we generally refer to when we simply say acne is, acne vulgaris. These are the blackheads and the whiteheads and the bright red pimples that torment us in our teenage years. Sometimes they turn into:

  • Papules
  • Pustules
  • Nodules
  • Cysts

The thing is that the actually happening inside your skin is really a kind of all you need to know is that your skin is constantly shedding dead cells. It’s a natural way that our skin breaths and rejuvenates itself. Some of those dead skin cells get out through your body tiny little holes called pores. Everybody hates their pores, these pores are connected to the oil glands through a canal called follicle. These oil glands produce a greasy substance called SEBUM which is your body’s own natural moisturizer that lubricates your skin.

Trouble begins when the process slows down and the oil and the skin cells come together and clog the pores blocking the pathway out. clogged or not your body doesn’t just stop creating more oil on the skin so what happens is that instead of going out, all that oil holds up underneath which pushes out the skin and creating the pimple.

Acne goes into the full bloom when bacteria noticed P acne’s jumps onto the seed. To fight this mob your immune system rushes bacteria-fighting white blood cells to that seed and the unfortunate side effect to all of this is a reddening of the skin in the affected areas so it looks like a volcanic explosion. So just imagine when you have acne what’s really actually going on in an epic power struggle between your immune system bacterial cells, clogged pores, and nothing can get free. That’s the simplest way to understand it.

Quick tips for all types of acne:

  1. Using acne skin routine twice a day, every day for the years you have acne.
  2. Ideally, your skin routine should contain some combination of Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid such as Alpha Glycolic Acid.
  3. Use a moisturizer, all acne treatment are drawing to the skin and you will have a reflex oiliness unless you use a lightweight moisturizer.

Those above are the tips for al type of acne except for some that are going to be discussed in next article. So, these all types of acne cause your skin a severe damage that can be a long-term debt for your skin.

  • There are also some creams to cover out all types of acne on your face. These acne creams help you to gain your skin freshness and cleanliness and these creams and gels are probably works in all type of acne.
  1. Neutrogena Pore-Refining Daily Cleaner

If you have oily acne pore skin, then you want to look for liquid cleanse that forms as cleaner cleanser. This is an example that contains both alpha and beta hydroxyl acid.

  1. Garnier Clean: Blackhead Eliminating Cream for acne

So, this is all about types of acne and creams of acne. I will discuss more about acne in my next articles and I’ll also write the all types od acne in details.

So, if you have any confusion or question you can ask me in comments.

Heat Hives is an allergic reaction to heat and is medically known as cholinergic urticarial. Cholinergic urticarial or heat hives is more or less the condition of being hypersensitive or extremely sensitives to heat, or the response of sweating. In this condition I recommend you to not use Benadryl for hives, there some other ways to keep it in control rather than using Benadryl for hives. People with this condition often wonder why they itch when they exercise, or any time they seem to get hot. If you have heat hives, you may get a hives rash as a reaction to any type of action that makes your body temperature rise, including sunbathing, exercising, stress, taking a hot shower/bath or going from a cool area to warm area.

No symptoms are present when not in a hot area or hot water, and other than experiencing one of these stimuli, you wouldn’t know you have heat hives. When these actions occur, hives are seen as a response to the temperature change. Symptoms of heat hives include an itching or burning sensation during the initial attack and normally goes away when the body’s overall temperature is cooled.

People with heat hives normally find that these symptoms and attacks happen suddenly, and sometimes will disappear just as suddenly. Some people find that they are fine one day and the following day they have heat hives.

This condition is known to last an entire lifetime in some patients, meaning that if you have it once, you will probably have recurrences.  Dermatologists that do not specialize in hives usually only offer antihistamine medications, which only treat the symptoms and not the hives themselves. This is why antihistamines are poor substitute for a real heat hives cure.

So, basically it is what I tell people that you’re allergic to your body wanting to sweat except for when your body starts to sweat.

Here is the basic home remedy for the heat hives.

  • Cold Compress

Most skin allergy specialists suggest cold compresses as the best topical natural remedy for hives.

  • Wrap some ice cubes in a cloth. Place it over the affected skin for 10 minutes at a time, three or four times a day.

Hives on Babies

Now I am going to write down hives when they happen in babies. Hive is really a kind of a rash and we think of it as sort of a large raised bump and by large I mean you know maybe a half inch to an inch in size. Usually, the bumps are sort of pale with some redness around them. We call that a wheel on flare reaction and there are types of allergic reaction. Now a lot of things can cause hive, many of the common causes and medications. However, you can also see hives with foods because you can see hives when babies get a viral illness when they get too hot, too cold, and emotional.

There are quite a few causes, sometimes you can identify the cause and sometimes you really have no idea when they come back again and again or fail to go away, sometimes you’ll ask an allergist to help or perhaps doing some allergy testing.

The easiest thing to treat hives with antihistamines and babies older than six months, we can use second-generation antihistamines like Zyrtec, Claritin-D. Those work really well, they last 24 hours and they’re both effective against hives.

Note that Claritin itself is not approaching babies between six months and two years of age, although some people do use it off later label. There’s a branded label slightly different version called Clarinex Desloratadine that is approved down to six months age. However, give the Zyrtec cetirizine is working for you that ought to be fine.

Now, you can also alternatively use a shorter acting antihistamine like Benadryl as well and when they get bad, some doctors will even prescribe what we think of an antacid, an acid reducer like Ranitidine Zantac. Some people will try and treat hives with steroids is something that we do commonly. It’s very difficult to find a study that shows actually works or helps but it is widely accepted therapy for more severe allergic reactions and doesn’t be surprised if you bring a baby in for hives, any walk-out with some sort of steroid therapy.

You might also try sort of a cool bath, a wash cloth to help with itching, however, the good news is, most of the time hives get better. Sometimes hives are associated with the more severe allergic reaction so if you noticed swelling of the lips for the mouth or the eyes, if you notice the baby is having a difficult time breathing or wheezing or coughing excessively, that’s an emergency, you really want to get that child seen immediately, Possibly, emergently.

Ask questions, if you have confusion regarding heat hives and hives on babies whether its heat hives or others.

Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes scaling, skin cells grow deep into the skin and slowly rise the surface. This process is called cell turnover and it takes about a month, psoriasis can happen in just a few days. Because the cells rise too fast and pile up on the surface. Most Psoriasis results in patches of thick red skin with silvery scales that can itch or feel sore. They are often found on the elbows, knees, other parts of leg, scalp, lower back face, palms, and soles of the feet.

Now, in this article, I am going to write down the creams that are effective for psoriasis on the face. I am trying to make it short and easy as possible and of course that might help you as well because every one of user wants to save time when it comes to the daily routine procedure. Before, you start any kind of routine with psoriasis whether psoriasis on the face or all over your body. Please make sure that you don’t touch anything, any cream, and any moisturizer without washing your hands first, make sure that you’re absolutely working with clean hands all the time, that is absolutely vital when you have any kind of skin condition whether it’s psoriasis or acne or anything else.

As for the product, I am going to write down, you can imagine that I’m using the product that is exactly okay for my face. I’m changing the products a lot, I am trying new products. So, I am not having a certain product or certain types of products, I would like to recommend to you because every skin is different. It’s very important you buy the product that is exactly right for you that you know are good for your skin and work for your psoriasis on face and please talk to your dermatologist, before using any products at all, trying any treatment. If things don’t work for you then don’t do them.

If you want to do this treatment, make sure you do it daily then it will give a response that you want.

  • First of all, keep it simple, washing the face is, of course, the first thing and never use hot or too cold water. Lukewarm water opens the pores just enough to let the warmth out of the skin and prepares it for the care products.
  • If you feel like it, you can, of course, do the final rinse with cold water. Never rub your face, even though you might think that you have to wash it, just remains your skin dry treated gently.
  • Let the tiny rest of the moisture be absorbed by it, by not using too much fabric softener. Your towel will already descale your skin a little.
  • Now, place some toner without alcohol on pat and rub it gently all over my face, neck, and chest. Toners usually contain moisturizer oils and extracts that help sooth your skin and regulate the PH balance of your skin.
  • Although not necessary for everyone that mostly use it and always use i-cream even though different kinds depending on how the skin looks at the time. Rub it softly with your ring fingers and draw circles from the inside out. Be very gentle around your eyes because of the skin there is extremely sensitive.
  • Use your day cream and then sun block on top, make soft strokes and always remember that, face, neck, chest.
  • Now, you can wear make-up, if you want.

I hope this article gives you a suggestion that how quick and easy, you can manage your daily routine in the morning to get rid of your psoriasis on the face.
